What brought you to Ames First UMC?
In 1995, we were looking for a place to hold our wedding the next spring and (more importantly) to become our Church home.  We visited several congregations in Ames, immediately loving the Sanctuary and Saturday Night service at Ames First.

Where did you grow up? Denver, CO

What (if anything) would you like to share about your education?
I graduated from Wartburg College.

What is your favorite thing about, or memory from, Ames First UMC?
I am so grateful for the people I have been able to know through this Church.  Much like family, some are still here, some have moved on, but I have had so many opportunities to connect with great people and build really special relationships.  I especially treasured the years of helping with Vacation Bible School and joining other parents and kids in the Fellowship Hall each noon, to eat our sack lunches before heading out for the rest of the day.

What is your favorite something else?
Our (fairly) new status of “empty nesters” has allowed us to take on new adventures and activities.  But my favorite thing has to be when the kids are home, all of us under one roof!  Oh, and I also love the Cyclones! 🙂
